About the Role...

The Finance Assistant role is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance funtion within the hotel.


Responsible for all sales ledger, including invoices, chasing credit and overall control of monies owed to the hotel. Supporting with the application of credit, liasing between client and head office.
To batch invoices and send per the required deadline each week to Head Office, ensuring Procure Wizard is correct and updated.
Process petty cash slips, keeping a detailed report and sending to Head Office for a cheque to be raised.
Managing the purchase order system, ensuring all PO's raised are within budget constraints and that invoices are recieved for all. Also updating hotel forcasted profit and loss sheet alongside purchase orders daily.
Look at end of day reports and check all business has been posted and make adjustments where and when needed.
Dealing with external credit companies who require follow up information e.g. receipts from payments made at the hotel, plus supplier queries regarding any unpaid invoices.
Income Audit - Producing accurate daily sales, room and catering statitics plus, the control of guest, sales and package ledgers, cash and credit cards.
Comparison of POS sales reports & premier spa to Opera, checking they balance and dealing with any discrepancies which may arise.
Check all daily banking has been completed accurately by individual departments and ensure all discrepancies are investigated, reported and rectified. Conduct monthly checks on all safes, floats and cash within the hotel.
Finalise weekly sales figures and update into the hotel P&L forecast spreadsheet.
Audit fourth T/A system and complete payroll ensuring leavers are processed accurately and other related duties.
Auditing and maitaining training records.


About You ...


Experienced within Customer realtions
Experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel in particular
Experience using Opera PMS is very desirable but not essential.
