IT Field Engineer (Homebased)

South East and Greater London

An IT Field Engineer or an IT Support Exec (looking to step-up into a field-based role) is needed to join a fast-growing managed service provider based in Cheshire. Expect to play a vital role supporting leading clients remotely and onsite.

This role is predominately field based, you will spend 80% of your time on the road visiting clients across the South East and Central London, you will need to be based in or outside the M25 for easy access to client sites.

Due to ongoing success they are now seeking an IT Field Engineer / IT Support Engineer to progress their career ensuring customers get the most from their managed services.

Joining as the IT Field Engineer / IT Support Engineer you will visit client sites across the South East and Central London and provide key IT support (when you're not travelling or visiting client sites, you will provide remote support from home). As the tech representative you'll apply your technical knowledge (Windows servers and networking) and problem-solving skills to help and advise clients. Whether you are on-boarding new customers, fixing technical issues or educating users on best practice it will be your technical input that ensures users receive a first-class service.

To qualify. You should be an IT Field Engineer / IT Support Engineer / 3rd Line Engineer / Project Engineer / Field Engineer / IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer or similar who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in an IT Support / Service Delivery role;
  • Experience of supporting Windows 7, 8 and 10 in a professional environment;
  • Installation, configuration and implementation experience;
  • Experience of managing small business networks;
  • Experience with Window Server 2012 through to 2016;
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Skype);
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal;
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Due to the nature of the role you will need a full UK Driving Licence.
