My client is a growing, non-food, multi channel retailer experiencing a period of sustained growth due to VC investment.

We are now deligted to be assisting them in the recruitment of a Buyers Administration Assistant to join their trading team.

Primary Focus:

To ensure that the Buying and Merchandising function is maintained effectively, accurately and in a productive manner.

Overview:

To act as a trading assistant to the Category reporting directly to the Buyer, to complete administrative tasks whilst maintaining strong relationships with other areas of the business. Ensure deadlines are met whilst undertaking multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

* Produce both daily and weekly reports for analysis by the Buyer and/or Merchandiser.

* Support the Buyer and Merchandiser to deliver strategic and financial goals and to aid delivery of the promotional plan across all channels; including monitoring and driving sales through targeted promotional activity.

* Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external departments and liaise as directed to ensure efficient running of the team.

* Liaise confidently with suppliers; sustaining partnerships and ensuring a smooth process regarding bookings and deliveries, obtaining information.

* Complete general administrative duties; raising orders effectively, day to day filing, keeping up to date files, catalogues and supplier information. Ensure all new supplier accounts are set up accurately.

* Ensure products are accurate on the SKU detail; ensure weekly system maintenance to move products through the business effectively. Setting up new lines/image sourcing/comp-shopping/pricing and promotional activity/de-listing products and price changes.

* Input into trading, helping the Buyer and Merchandiser by both supporting and questioning buying decisions.

* Attend trade shows, offsite meetings and store visits when required.

* Monitoring all “Replenishment” lines and support the Merchandiser to ensure re-orders are raised and delivered in timely manner.

Skills required

* Numerical and analytical

* Commercial Acumen - ability to judge the market and maximise sales & margin

* Ability to work in a high pressured environment and productively at pace

* Experience of good cross functional working

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

* Clear concise communicator

* Enterprising and responsive
