Chubb Fire and Security is one of the UK’s best known providers of fire safety and security solutions for businesses and organisations nationwide. We have created new teams within the Credit Control department at our Finance Centre of Excellence in Blackburn (near the Hospital, BB1) and we now have various new opportunities.

What will I do?

We are looking for permanent and contract Credit Controllers (or Assistant Credit Controllers with much less experience within Credit Control). Working as part of a friendly team, your role will be to minimise risk exposure of our credit customers, secure payment to enable release of accounts on hold and to achieve monthly targets and service level agreements. You will vet customers to assess credit worthiness of customers; liaise with external customers, our branches, call centre and internal departments and work to required SLAs and targets.

What experience do I need?

Previous credit control experience including credit assessment; knowledge of credit checking / risk management; previous experience of MS Word, Excel and ideally JD Edwards and a good standard of education, including GSCEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
You will need to be a confident individual with good communication skills; able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and possess the ability to work under pressure and in a reactive environment.
