Who will you be working for?

Our client, a non-ministerial government department, is on the lookout for an Accounts Clerks to join them on an initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract at this exciting time. The roles will be based at their offices in Taunton.

What you will be doing?

Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor, the Accounts Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance team. You will be accurately inputting and checking staff claims, supplier invoices and travel & subsistence expenditure, using Sun Account and Excel support systems.

You may also be required to answer telephone calls and log enquiries received from suppliers and customers ensuring good relations are maintained.

What can you bring to the role?

To be successful in this role, previous experience and knowledge of working within a similar environment governed by processes and procedures is a must. You will also need to have a working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications. Excellent written and communication skills will key as you will be speaking customer and colleagues alike.

An AAT qualification is desired but not essential for the role.
