Job Title: ASSISTANT CREDIT CONTROLLER

Location: Barnsley

Salary: Competitive Salary

My client is a market leader, with over 40 years’ experience in their industry, with an emphasis on providing a high standard of products and service. A vacancy has arisen within the Credit Control department to join Projects team, based at their Head Office in Grimethorpe, Barnsley.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Producing applications for payment using Microsoft Excel.

* Sending copy invoices, PODs, and completion certificates by email and post.

* Logging, resolving and clearing queries.

* Resolving complex pricing issues.

* Running and updating reports.

* Account reconciliations.

* Allocating cash.

* Liaising with internal departments and working closely with the area sales team.

* Dealing with customers over the phone.

* Filing paperwork including scanning and indexing documents.

* Retrieving documents from our DIP system (electronic filing cabinet).

* Collating paperwork for customer visits.

* Attending and supporting internal meetings.

* Supporting the Company Surveyor with processing contract documents.

THE CANDIDATE:

* Basic credit control experience.

* Experience using formulated spreadsheets.

* A keen eye for detail as accuracy is important.

* An excellent telephone manner.

* Strong organisational skills.

* A positive and flexible attitude.

* A reliable team player who is able to prioritise their own workload.

* Able to communicate with people at all levels, both verbal and written (emails and letters).

* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Able to meet strict deadlines
