Payroll Assistant


£9-£12.00 per hour

Temporary / Contract position

An established not for profit in Truro is looking for a temporary Payroll Assistant to assist their team for a number of weeks. The position has come about due to a temporary seasonal demand. You will be the sole payroll person working with a friendly finance team.

Responsibilities include:

* Processing and submitting payroll

* Collecting sickness records and ensuring statutory sick pay

* Processing all statutory returns including P60, p45, &P46 to HMRC

* Pension processing

* Balance Payroll control accounts

* Payroll reporting

* Dealing with colleague salary and payroll queries within the group

* Support the administration and monitoring of the pension auto enrolment process

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of payroll, strong pension skills. You should be able to prioritise a large workload effectively. Prior experience of Sage Payroll would be advantageous.
