My client who are an established Washington Engineering company currently require a Programme manager. Reporting directly to the board, The Engineering Programme Manager will oversee all day to day aspects of the engineering and project management function. They will be responsible for the full technical management of all projects, including responsibilities for manpower, quality and tools. It will be the Engineering Programme Managers responsibility to ensure that all staff under their control are aware of the relevant business standards and that those standards are adhered to and maintained.

The Engineering Programme Manager will also be responsible for the delivery of all projects through the business from both a technical and delivery perspective, inclusive of all elements of project control including schedules and costings.

Roles & Responsibilities

* They will oversee the management of resources throughout their function.

* Ensure that their department receives all relevant information needed to progress with the project.

* Carry out reviews to ensure technically sound, quality cost effective solutions.

* Discuss the technical requirements of projects with customers and senior managers.

* Develop specifications for all major items.

* Conduct regular meetings with the manufacturing team to understand key business deliverables.

* Ensure their departments receive the appropriate support and training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.

* Monitor project costs and deliverables with actions and countermeasures if required.

* Reporting performance and resource to the board.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least a HNC standard in a production/ engineering subject, however relevant industry experience will be considered
