Reporting into, and supporting the Leisure & Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the running of the Leisure club. You will have previous experience of working at supervisory level within a Leisure Club, and will be required to deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that you care.

A non-exhaustive list of the key role responsibilities is detailed below:

* Ensure that offers, spa products and seasonal tariffs are understood.

* Liaise closely with the Leisure Club Sales Team and colleagues in order to sell the product and experience effectively. Deal with complaints/ problems politely and make every effort to resolve these.

* Assist with our monthly retention programs and liaising with our central member services, ensuring that all member needs are taken care of.

* Be aware of all promotional activates to ensure they are correctly implemented. Deal with enquiries in a prompt professional manner. Offer advice on products and explain facilities e.g. opening times. Assist with special promotions and provide visual displays as required. Product knowledge includes the whole Hotel, not just the Leisure Club.

* To understand and support the hotel’s commitment to Customer Service within the job role.

* Support the Spa Manager in all aspects of setting up, running and maintaining membership information, accounts and monthly reports.

* Ability to take responsibility for the care of hotel guests, members and day spas

* Assist members and prospective members in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Record booking details for all facilities clearly and accurately, taking opportunity to promote new activities. Deal with complaints / problems politely and make every effort to resolve these

* Be responsible for the motivation and organization of the team on shift

* To carry out water testing and be responsible for chemical correction where required

* To actively be responsible for the pool plant equipment and maintenance of the area

* To be responsible for the maintenance of the leisure and spa ensuring defects are reported and rectified in a timely manner

* To undertake relevant training as directed by their Line Manager.

* Develop and deliver training to upskill team members

* The post holder may be directed by their line manager to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.

* Ensure that all Health & safety checks are completed to deadlines and any issues are raised immediately and rectified as soon as possible, ensuring minimum impact to the customers.

* To ensure compliance with all the Hotel’s Health and Safety policies.


* 2.1 or higher in Fitness/ Leisure related degree

* A team player

* Pool plant experience and recognized qualification

* First Aid qualification

* Previous supervisory experience preferred

* Ability to plan and prioritize own and team’s workloads

* Previous Leisure club experience is preferred

* Knowledge of leisure systems preferred

* Excellent communication skills

* Exceptional customer service standards
