Role: Internal Account Manager

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + commission

Location: Manchester

Are you a driven and motivated Internal Account Manager who is on the lookout for a new adventure?

Well, our client hosts a global reputation for being highly responsive, customer focused and delivering high-quality reports on time and in a meaningful format.

Due to continued growth in a new market, theyre looking to expand its operations within the commercial team and are going to strengthen their team by recruiting an ambitious and energetic Internal Account Manager.

This role will be based at the facility in Manchester however you will be expected to attend meetings, exhibitions and visit customers periodically when required.

You will be responsible for delivering growth in (existing business and new accounts) to ensure the opportunity pipeline is in accordance with targets; as well as identifying the customers' exact study needs and working with the relevant teams to ensure we meet or exceed expectations

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years account management experience with a proven track record of achieving sales targets/quotas within a business to business capacity. You, alongside your partner account manager, will be responsible for maintaining existing and developing new customers in line with targets ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.

As the Internal Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Researching and contacting organisations primarily by phone to find new customers and identify the key decision makers

- Attending events and conferences for industry awareness and to gain information on market trends

- Understanding of the industry with the ability to become a subject matter expert

- Organise, facilitate and lead conversations between customers and laboratory technical staff

- Able to successfully handle objections and accurately understand specific customer needs to ensure sales are closed

- Maintain and develop existing business across the full offering as appropriate

The successful Internal Account Manager will have these skills and experience:

- Familiarity with Outlook, CRM software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Account Executive or similar role

- Hands on experience with multiple sales techniques (including prospecting, inbound and outbound marketing, presentations, collaborative selling etc)

- Track record of achieving sales targets/quotas within a business to business capacity

- Experience in accurate sales forecasting

- Skilled within problem-solving, time management and attention to detail

- Comfortable working in a technical and commercial setting

- Proven experience working both independently and as part of a diverse team

- Have a flexible approach to travel
