Brand new opportunity for an experienced, part-qualified Finance professional to join a leading independent firm of Accountants, Tax and Business Advisers in Cambridgeshire.

The VFO (Virtual Finance Office) Department provides a full 'back office’ facility to client companies and organisations and your role as VFO Account Manager will be responsible for delivering this service to a portfolio of clients under the direction of the VFO Manager.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of your clients’ accounting needs; an overview of what this role involves is as follows:

* Bookkeeping duties

* Financial / Management reporting

* Credit control

* General business support

* Working with clients to understand their accounting and reporting requirements

* Ensuring timely completion of all aspects of accounts preparation and management reporting for clients

* Supervising junior staff involved in processing client information

* Working towards achieving the firms’ strategy and future direction

* Maintaining a professional, competent image to internal/external clients, whether face to face or over the telephone

* Being aware of all services offered and look for opportunities to sell additional services to existing clients, highlighting potential leads for new clients to management

* Positively promoting the business and all its services at suitable opportunities and events

This is NOT your typical Accounts Support position!

We are looking for someone really special to join this lovely team. Team fit, attitude and culture fit is high on the agenda here and we are looking for someone that will blend in well with this energetic, social and hardworking team.

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate experience of working within a finance support role as well as coming with a high level of IT literacy (accounting packages and MS Excel in particular) and effective time management and prioritisation of work to meet your client deadlines and to respond quickly to your clients changing needs.

In an ideal world you’d be coming with portfolio management experience as well, but for the right candidate, we can be flexible on this.

You’ll already have your AAT qualification ideally, but you’ll be keen to study further to reach your full potential. Career progression and personal development is certainly on offer within this business!
