Rthirteen are currently assisting a market leading, travel and tourism sector business, based North of Norwich in their search for a Payroll Clerk to join their team. You will be joining the expanding finance team and your role will have you supporting with various payroll functions, as well as, supporting the wider finance team.

Your duties will include:

* Accurately maintaining and updating payroll information.

* Assisting with the processing of the payroll records for all company staff on a monthly basis.

* Assisting in the processing of all new starters and leavers.

* Supporting the production of relevant payroll documents including P60’s, Payslips etc…

* Monitoring annual staff absences via the internal HR software and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

* Processing statutory deductions, calculating payments including maternity, paternity and sickness.

* Quickly responding to any questions, requests or discrepancies.

* Assisting in the completion of payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

* Assisting in the implementation, evaluation and monitoring of processes and procedures.

* Keeping up to date with payroll legislation to ensure the organisation’s services comply with such legislation and best practises are used.

* Effectively filing of all payroll records in a methodical and appropriate manner.

You will have/be:

* Able to work within a pressured environment, effectively meeting timely deadlines.

* Highly analytical and possess strong numeracy skills.

* A strong team player, maintaining a flexible approach and assisting colleagues if required.

* Respectful of confidentiality of employee data and deal with any queries in a sensitive manner.

* Organised and possessing a logical and methodical approach.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Experience working towards tight deadlines.

* GCSE level of education including English & Maths.

* Computer literate with confidence in using Microsoft Office applications.

* A keen interesting in a permanent role with career progression.

Desirable:

* Previous experience in a UK Payroll and/or Accounts role would be advantageous but not essential.

* Experience of using Sage Payroll 50.

This is a full time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including; 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free car parking, company discount, and a group pension scheme.
