We’re embarking on an exciting new chapter in our business, to deliver a £190m investment into homes, people and communities and we need the right person to help us tell our story. ‘Housing People, Helping People’ is what Bernicia is expert at. Renting, selling and building homes for thousands of tenants and customers from Redcar in the south to Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north. Our communications and content manager will know how to spot a news story, be able to pen a press release to grab the attention of news and trade media alike and understand how to reach audiences through a wide range of channels. We’re expanding our use of social media and digital tools to help more people engage with us in a way they want to and at a time convenient to them. Creating and scheduling cracking social content will be a big part of the job – as will media relations, internal communications and stakeholder relations. The communications and content manager will need to demonstrate their knowledge of working in a corporate environment, in a news or public relations role, with bags of enthusiasm and able to offer professional advice to a range of colleagues.
