Graduate Electronics Design Engineer

Egham, Surrey £22,000 - £26,000

A specialist in the design and manufacture of their own products that are precision movement and control systems in constrained conditions performing in extreme temperature conditions or when weight restrictions are paramount or even when operating space is constrained.

With a global customer base in the aerospace, defence and oil and gas industries providing pioneering technology and engineering design, delivering tailored solutions that are smaller and lighter but significantly more powerful.

Having developed a new generation of products that will take the business from its base of gears and mechanical actuation systems into integrated systems. These are going through final qualification and will be fully certified, allowing us to sell into other aerospace markets worldwide.

Job Profile

The aim is to initiate an electronics department who will work closely with the design team on every new job, so that in the future the business can be self-reliant in providing a full package without the need to outsource electronics and motor design.

As the successful Electronics Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to start off this process, gain knowledge from the other very experienced electronics designer and may have the opportunity to build an electronics team around you as the work load increases.

The current, vastly experienced electronics designer will mentor and assist you, whom is responsible for the latest generation of PCB design and control software for one of the most recent products and wants to pass on his 50+ years of experience.

Skills and Experience:

* Degree qualified in electronics or robotics

* Comfortable with high accuracy ‘closed loop’ control systems using sensors and mechanics

* Experience in LabView and some programming experience (C++) would be an advantage

* A positive attitude be ready & willing to learn and to share your knowledge.

Hours of work:

* 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday


* 4 weeks holiday

* Company pension scheme - 3% contribution by employee matched by company after qualifying period
