We are proudly representing our client in their search for a Buyer. They are looking for the right candidate to be responsible for procurement and supply chain activities within the business/


* Oversee 2 administrators for the department

* Update daily reports for the SCM

* Managing stock inventory and introducing workflows/ SOP

* Develop and maintain supplier relationships with new and existing suppliers

* Reduce price wherever possible by using strong negotiating skills

* Continuously benchmark suppliers, analyse pricing trends and utilise cost models

* Visiting suppliers and attending trade fairs to source new products

* Develop and maintain an approved supplier list to serve as an initial reference for sourcing activities

* Regularly review all KPI’s, prioritise, develop and implement plans

* Involved in ISO / Company audits

* Driving new projects and maintain data integrity

* Supporting other departments

* Identify long term strategic planning

Person Specification

* Hold a CIPS qualification or working towards

* Degree qualified or have equivalent experience

* Previous volume purchasing experience would be desirable

* Knowledge of purchasing and quality procedures and standards

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
