Sewell Wallis have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a professional services based company in Harrogate. This innovative business have had continuous growth over the years and due to team expansion they are looking for a positive and dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary to permanent contract to join their family like team. In return you will have a lot of team support as well as a competitive salary. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and hit the ground running

The role: Purchase Ledger Clerk – Temporary to Permanent position
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000
Hours: 9.00am-5.30pm (1 hour for lunch)

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk your duties will include:
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received
• Registering and scanning invoices using approval software
• Coding invoices to general and cost centres
• Analysing back up to large value invoices using Excel
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Assisting with weekly payment runs by cheque, BACS, SDP or foreign currency
• Initiating and follow up of invoice queries – dealing with suppliers and internal staff and managers

• Ability to communicate at all levels
• A positive and assertive attitude with the ability to work on own initiative
• Good IT skills including Excel
