Guy's and St Thomas' is one of the largest hospital trusts in the country, with a staff of over 16,000, a turnover of over £1.5 billion and around 2.4m patient contacts a year. The Trust comprises two of London's oldest and best known teaching hospitals. We also provide community health services for adults and children across Lambeth and Southwark, allowing us to deliver seamless care for our patients.
We are seeking a total of four senior IT Project Managers to join the team delivering Clinical IT solutions. Three of the four posts represent net growth in the teams, as we have a lot demand forecast over the next 12 months. The Specialist Portfolio delivers projects for individual directorates or specialities. The Enterprise Portfolio delivers projects across multiple directorates, or where there are significant external stakeholders involved. In both cases, the projects will vary in size from £50k to £1m+. They are focused primarily, but not exclusively on our acute services, as a separate programme of work addresses the needs of clinicians working in the community.
The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to manage highly complex innovative projects in a healthcare setting. He/she will develop and deliver one or more projects in line with the requirements of GSTT governance, interacting with clinicians, operational staff, and IT. Accountable to IT Clinical Portfolio Manager, the post-holders will be highly effective at communicating and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. They will be highly organised, resilient and flexible in their approach, with the ability to manage risk and uncertainty, finding innovative ways of solving or pre-empting complex problems.
There will be one single set of interviews, and candidates can apply with a view to joining one or both teams. Interviews will be conducted in two stages. If we receive a high number of applications, GSTT reserves the right to close early.
Planned Closing Date: Monday 25th March 2019 at Midnight
First round Interview Date: 12th April 2019
