This is an exciting time for our Recovery Services with a number of developments underway including the implementation and development of Psychosis, Complex Depression & Trauma and Personality Disorder care pathways. This transformation is aimed at improving, focussing and standardising the care for all those using our services and is concentrating on improving access to psychological therapies.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic band 8a Clinical/Counselling psychologist to work in our multi-disciplinary teams in Hounslow. You will be comfortable working both on your own and with others from a range of different backgrounds. To thrive in this role, you need to be resilient, motivated and committed to adapt to working in an ever-changing environment.

The post advertised is within the Complex Depression, Anxiety and Trauma (CDAT) Pathway.

Within the Trust, Psychology sits as lead to two of the three service delivery pathways within local services (Psychosis pathway and Complex Depression, Anxiety and Trauma pathway) and is involved in all planning regarding service development. Psychologists within the MDT are central to the development and delivery of evidence based packages of care, delivered against NICE guidelines with a range of education and training to be rolled-out alongside the service transformation. This role sits mainly within the CDAT care pathway and there will be opportunities to access specialists training and development packages (e.g. EMDR, NET, trauma-focused CBT etc).

The recovery teams hold psychological formulation and psychological interventions as central to their pathway and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of treatment pathways within these teams. The successful candidate will join a large team of experienced psychologists working across the services where they will have opportunities for joint working and peer and group supervision. They will also be opportunities to be involved in service development and leadership in a number of clinical areas within the pathways.

The current vacancy is for a Band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in Hounslow Recovery Teams.

The trust is committed to developing excellent services and you will be part of a team excited by, and striving for, optimal recovery outcomes for each individual who uses our services. We are looking for someone to drive formulation based understanding and to lead teams in developing comprehensive packages of care based around these.
