SEN Learning Support Assistant

Do you have experience of working or supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs?

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a Leaning Support Assistant to work in a school in Salford that provides specialist education for pupils aged 2 to 11 years all of whom have Social, emotional and mental health needs.

Learning Support Assistant responsibilities may consist of the following:

* To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the sensory and personal development needs of children

* To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs of children

* To support teachers in establishing, evaluating and reviewing individual plans


* To contribute to the safety of the pupils

* To contribute to reviews and assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date records as required

* To implement school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of children

As a Learning Support Assistant will need:

* To show initiative and empathy

* To have good communication skills (written and verbal)

* Ability to work calmly in situations of crisis
