We are a registered care and support charity that offers services to just over 6000 people within the Midlands. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident has over 50 years of delivering homes, services and innovation in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 800 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more.

About the role

As a result of continuous business transformation an exciting position of an ICT Field Engineer has become available within our ICT directorate reporting to ICT Manager. The duties will include:

* Ensure a full and comprehensive understanding of all ICT systems from a business process perspective at all times, reporting on these where necessary.

* Ensure effective liaison with ICT Manager on all associated projects and processes as required.

* Monitor and resolve ICT support calls raised in the call logging system and directly by phone to the helpdesk

* Regularly update call logging system outlining actions taken towards resolving ICT support requests

* Undertake regular reviews, making recommendations for change which will deliver efficiencies and service improvements

* Support of business activities and operations as required including flexible working (i.e. start and finishing times) on call rota, and out of hours cover

* Work closely within the group structure and carry out regular site visits to address ICT support requests. Regularly provide weekly progress reports to ICT Management

* Ensure consistent and pro-active approach to role at all times, carrying out other duties as may be required from time to time in order to maintain an efficient operation of all aspects relating to the needs of the organization.

* Flexible working office based and field based locations across the group.

About you

* Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective liaison with internal and external clients

* Support, administration and management of software applications

* ICT skills essential up to 2nd line to include Helpdesk, PC builds, Mobile devices builds, general troubleshooting, Windows OS.

* Experience of Microsoft Applications (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, CRM, Office), EDM, Admin Tools, SQL admin and VMware Admin.

* Network skills, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, Network monitoring, VoIP, network printing, software installation.

* Liaising with staff and management on IT related queries

* Excellent communication skills both via email and in person

* Car driver essential (Full clean driving license)
