Maintenance Team Leader

* Location: Sandy

* Shifts: 3’s and 2’s (Days and Nights)

* Salary: £49,000

We are one of UK’s largest manufacturers of Construction Products in the UK, supplying Bricks, Pre-cast Concrete Products, Roof and Floor tiles, Chimneys and Insulation Products to the Domestic Construction Companies, plus Civils, Rail and Highways sectors.

The business is experiencing a rapid period of growth and expansion thanks to the buoyancy of the housing market, with their share price leaping up as a consequence. They have been heavily reinvesting their profits into their plant and equipment as part of a business wide LEAN and Continuous Improvement Initiative.

Role Summary

The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for:

* The co-ordination of the Maintenance activities within their factory

* Assigning work orders to Maintenance crews & manage spares

* Running daily meetings, 1-2-1s and appraisals

* Plus co-ordinate any training necessary for the Engineers

On top of this you will be expect to be hands on with which task consisting of:

* The planned and reactive maintenance and service of Conveyors, Brick Presses, Dryers, Kilns and Palletisers.

* Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.

* Mainly swapping both electrical and mechanical components like for like with the odd strip and rebuild project.

To be successful as a Maintenance Team Leader you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

* Must have a recognised Electrical Engineering Qualification.

* Managed a Team or looking to step in to management.

* Must have previous experience working on automated plant (Ideally Brick/Concrete)
