Main purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Head of Product Operations, you will lead a team of Electricity Operations Advisors who manage processes relating to industry data flows, metering and settlements. The role will also require working alongside Business Analysts, Management Information and Software Development, to support Verastar in refining processes and integrating industry systems, such as the DCC adapter.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Lead a team of 5 operations advisors to complete workload in order of business priority

Conduct 1-2-1s, pay progression scheme meetings and quarterly bonus reviews

*
Manage underperformance and training gaps

*
Continue to refine current KPIs, in line with Verastar company goals

*
BAU relationship management with our managed service, DCDA, MOP, ELEXON and other industry parties

*
Manage data flow exceptions, alongside managed service

*
Resolve exceptions within CRM and industry that cause billing issues

*
Monitor and drive performance of meter read collection (both traditional and advanced)

*
Manage settlement performance and make changes to achieve industry obligations

*
Oversee tasks relating to Elexon are completed i.e P272 and PARMS reporting

*
Responsible for completing reporting to OFGEM and BEIS

*
Provide staff and product performance reporting to Head of Product Operations

*
Collaborate with other departments within the business, to drive positive changes across the electricity customer journey

*
Ensure all business process are documented, and reviewed regularly for improvement

*
Scope out new reports to improve visibility of operational performance

Skills and Experience Required - The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

*
Proven experience of team management

*
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electricity industry

*
A good understanding of data flows and the electricity market participants

*
Experience in metering and MOP processes is preferable

*
Knowledge of the settlement timelines and performance obligations (both NHH and HH)

*
Ability to manage third party agents

*
Excellent communication skills

*
Self-motivated and have ability to motivate and lead others

*
Strong analytical skills to identify performance issues or exception trends

*
Ability to make decisions independently
