R13 recruitment are working in partnership with a market leading organisation based North West of Norwich. Joining the friendly accounts team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, your main responsibility will be to process high volume invoices, ensuring that all payments processed in a timely manner and that you are achieving personal objectives.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with previous experience in a purchase ledger role, who will enjoy working in a collaborative environment with genuinely friendly and hardworking individuals.

Duties to include:

* Receipt of invoices from internal stakeholders via email.

* Checking of invoices for appropriate nominal code, cost centre and authorising signatory.

* Follow up with internal client should any information be missing.

* Analysis of invoice figures, assuring appropriate application of VAT etc.

* Manually loading invoice information onto Sage Line 200, assuring absolute accuracy.

* Handle supplier queries in relation to payments, including liaising with internal stakeholders.

* Checking of colleagues work to ensure accuracy of data prior to processing payments.

* Working to tight deadlines to process invoices on time and handling a high volume of work.

* Exporting data from Excel into Sage system.

* Maintaining the company filing system, ensuring manual and computerised records are accurate.

* Supporting the wider accounts team with adhoc duties as required.

You will have/be:

* Experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Bought Ledger Clerk role.

* Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 or Sage 200.

* Comfortable handling a high volume workload to tight deadlines.

* A calm approach when handling calls from suppliers.

* Able to investigate discrepancies, engaging with stakeholders to gain information.

* High degree of accuracy and exemplary attention to detail.

* Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

* Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work.

* A personable and rounded team member who is supportive of colleagues.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Basic knowledge of VAT.

Full training will be provided to the successful individual. This is a full time opportunity. Offered salary for this position is £16,000 - £19,000 DOE. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including; 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free car parking, company discount, and a group pension scheme.
