POSITION: Engineering Production Operative SALARY: £18,000 - £23,000 – DOE BENEFITS: Company Pension, 28 days annual leave plus services related 5 additional days, Free Staff Car Park HOURS: Full Time 8.30am – 5.30pm LOCATION: Moira, South Derbyshire – DE12 6EJ DESCRIPTION: Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, servicing and supply of unrivalled motorcycle suspension. They are now actively seeking an Engineering Production Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that has been in business for over 20 years. OVERVIEW •To work in the production department, following procedures and process maps to produce sub assemblies through to complete products. •Carry out parts and assembly inspection and test routines. To finish, pack and label products ready for sale. •To receive components (internal or external) and locate them in the appropriate storage media observing the strict control disciplines for rotation and traceability. •To update/complete records when finishing assemblies. •Provide cover in other parts of the business. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES •To work safely and efficiently. •To use the internal software system to locate and pick parts. •To produce sub-assemblies and finished products. •Package finished product ready for sale. •To complete records and documentation. •To receive materials after inspection and to follow procedures to locate in correct locations. •To keep the working environment clean and to minimise waste of materials and energy. •Other duties as required by the business needs. IDEAL CANDIDATE/PERSONAL PROFILE •Resourceful, skilful, self motivated. •Able to work without the need for direct supervision. •Able to work well as part of a team and by oneself. •Approach tasks with enthusiasm, adaptability and energy. •Meticulous attention to detail and comfortable with routine work. •Follow procedures and instructions without deviation. •Able to work to deadlines. •Trustworthy, punctual and reliable. •Safety focused. •Conscientious, trustworthy and punctual. •Cost and efficiency focused. •Task focused. •Keen to develop and learn new skills. •Knowledge of engineering production and assembly processes. •NVQ Level 2 in engineering or equivalent. •Ideally 2 years minimum experience gained in a similar industry. •Computer literate ideally with Sage Software knowledge (training will be given). •Competent in Microsoft Office suite.
