Assistant Engineering Maintenance Technician – 4 on 4 off – 12 hour shifts – Days/Nights
£21,000 plus Bonuses Good Overtime Rate
Hatfield, Hertfordshire

I am currently looking to recruit an Assistant Engineering Maintenance Technician to join my client based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire

My client invest in the very latest, state of the art machinery required to manufacture, store and despatch there products. They look for people who will take a proactive approach towards the maintenance, repair and improvement of their equipment.

Professionals who will take the lead and take an imaginative approach towards their work. You will work closely with their production team to establish their needs and deliver the right solution.

Background
My client will consider Assistant Engineering Maintenance Technician from the following experience: - Manufacturing, Automated, Conveyors, Electrical, FMCG, Warehouse, Food Industry, Distribution Centres, Dairy, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, Site Service, Oil and Gas

Responsibilities
As an Assistant Engineering Maintenance Technician you are responsible with the following

Roles and Responsibilities

* Assist Engineers and Technicians with faults and breakdowns within your designated areas.

* Respond to tote jams on the conveyor systems.

* Use computerised systems to complete jam reports and to complete maintenance logs, therefore basic computer literacy is essential

* Work safely at all times and highlight all H&S Issues to your Line Management.

* Support the Engineering Team on the technical cleaning of automated areas to help maintain hygiene standards.

* The list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and within your role you will be asked to perform tasks that will be deemed as a reasonable manager's request

* This role requires a lot of physical activity e.g. lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects.

What do we need from you?

* Basic working knowledge of automated warehouses and their technical components.

* An interest in Engineering, Mechanics, Electronics.

* Have an eye for detail; good problem solving ability and a practical approach.

* Good communicator with the ability to analyse and impart knowledge.

* Full training will be given but experience of working within an engineering environment would be desirable. Flexibility of working pattern as and when required by business needs.

* English language skills equivalent to B1 on CERF Scale or above.
