Payment: Day rate of £285 paid 4 days per annum (subject to tax and national insurance), plus reasonable travel expenses.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Valuation Tribunal Service (VTS) delivers a range of services to the Valuation Tribunal for England to hear and determine disputes that have arisen between those who pay council tax or non-domestic rates and their local council or the Valuation Office Agency.
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) as an independent member to advise the Board, Accounting Officer and Committee in reviewing and advising on action necessary to both minimise and effectively manage risks to the organisation.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and understanding of audit and risk processes associated with government funding. Candidates must have an appropriate professional qualification, and ideally will have excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to challenge in an effective but supportive manner.
Allowance paid 4 days per annum, with additional reimbursement of receipted standard class travel expenses.
