Cordant People are delighted to be working with our established manufacturing client in Angus to recruit a 'Manufacturing Engineer' on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

* Formulate methods, procedures and schedules that will aid a continuously improving quality process.

* Engage the production team in the identification of cost and inventory reduction initiatives, whilst also striving to streamline work-flow.

* Develop and document CNC programs, machine set up sheets, manufacturing standards and instructions.

* Liaise closely with the design team to effectively evaluate product changes or implementation.

* Ensure the smooth introduction of new products and technologies into production.

* Effectively resolve manufacturing issues through the use of Root Cause Analysis.

The Person:

* Knowledge of machining and assembly practices essential.

* Experience using Solidworks, Edgecam and AutoCAD highly advantageous.

* Knowledge of Total Quality, Continuous Improvement and Kaizen principles.

* Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

* Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.

* Organised and able to prioritise workload based on critical business requirements.
