Job Description

Job Summary

To provide Tier 2 through to Tier 3 support for the Avaya Phone system, in addition to the Core Network which sits on a HP Switch Infrastructure. In addition to working with our key suppliers of support and services to these two key areas of the overall IT Infrastructure.

• Create and maintain Call Routing Scripts.

• Create System Documentation, including Phone Routing Flow Diagrams.

• Installing and repairing PC software.

• Adding desktops, laptops and peripherals to the network.

• Performing daily tasks and processes as defined by the IT Senior Manager.

• Performing Tier 2 to 3 tasks on the IT Systems, as directed by the IT Senior Management.

• Troubleshooting Issues logged in the ticketing system. Fixing the issue or escalating to the relevant team.

• Troubleshooting desktop network connectivity issues.

• Following the standards and documentation defined by the IT SMEs.

• Second line telephone support on the Helpdesk.

• Assist in office moves and changes.

Job Type / Category

This role will work within the IT Support Team across Andover and Swindon sites when required. The contracted hours are 40 per week however, flexibility will be required to cover business opening hours and also out of hours work when system upgrades are necessary.

The team receive plenty of training in order to ultimately have a broad knowledge for IT, networking and telephony.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

• Will have a minimum of Three to Five years Avaya Telephone system Experience. Being able to create new Phone Routes, Phones, Users etc.

• Will have a high level of experience in SIP and VOIP, QOS & COS technology.

• Will have good knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, MPLS.

• Will have a minimum of two Years Network Switch configuration and support, preferably with HP Switching technology.

• Dynamic, self-motivated enthusiastic individual with a passion and flair for building customer relationships.

• Should have first class communication skills, good presentation and with a polite and tactful manner.

• To be able to deal with customers in a patient, calm and effective way and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Must have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality whilst at the same time achieving financial targets.

• Well-presented and business like.

• Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.

• Show a high level of integrity and professionalism.

• Ability to get on with others and be a team-player.

• The ability to follow processes and procedures and to be comfortable with referring to managers where necessary.

• Excellent understanding of IT technology

Salary: £25,000.00 to £35,000.00 /year
