Job Title – Trainee Account Manager

A new opportunity has arisen to work with a long established and well-respected mortgage lender as an Intermediary Trainee Account Manager. This is a new and exciting role which will enable the successful candidate to progress through the Intermediary Sales Support team, from Intermediary Sales Support Assistant to full Account Manager in two years with the associated financial benefits.

The role is a progression role and the ideally candidate will be placed on a two year development plan to ultimately end up as an Account Manager. Full training and development will be given as part of this role, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate all key competencies before moving on to develop skills required to succeed as an Account Manager.

Trainee Account Manager - Key Responsibilities

* Handling mortgage, lending criteria and process queries from intermediaries, by both telephone and email, within SLA to proactively encourage increased levels of business.

* Process DIPs and illustration requests received from intermediaries within agreed SLAs.

* Register new brokers, proactively contacting them with relevant information for writing future business with the Society.

* Contacting new brokers and first-time introducers to make them aware of products, contact points, lending criteria and processes.

As an Account Manager you will manage your own broker relationships and support the National Development Manager in achieving sales targets of residential mortgages, in the right mix and margin to include, prime residential, buy to let, shared ownership and equity, complex prime and older lives.

Skills & Experiences Required

* Previous mortgage experience

* Excellent attention to detail

* Flexible and keen to get involved in several different tasks

* Professional, friendly and polite with a positive ‘can do’ approach

* Motivated, positive and enthusiastic

* Able to work unsupervised and use own initiative

* Committed to providing excellent customer service

* CeMAP 3 Qualified or working towards
