£30,000 - £40,000

An established and innovative company with a heritage in St Austell is looking to recruit a Qualified Production Accountant. You will be working closely alongside the production team and reporting into the Wholesale & Production Financial Controller. This is a challenging and interesting position where you will provide financial support and information to assist the production team, and directly impact the business’s improvement.

This is a new position within the business where you will have the opportunity to become closely involved with production, and provide insightful analysis.

The successful candidate will have a background as an experienced management accountant ideally within a manufacturing, or FMCG business. You will need to be educated to degree level and hold the ACCA or CIMA qualification. Experience working in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential. An ability to analyse information and communicate to none financial colleagues is essential.

The position will involve:

• Business partnering with heads of department to establish a detailed understanding of operations and production.

• Assisting with preparation of key monthly financial reports for the production department.

• Developing reporting of all production functions through detailed understanding of production processes.

• Managing the calculation of cost prices and the implementation of any cost price changes

• Agreement of the cost price for all new own produced products and ensuring these are communicated on a timely and accurate basis to the inventory team.

• Production of timely and accurate ad hoc analysis of production related information.

• Considering and implementing recommendations on the production systems

• In partnership, production of an annual production budget

• Preparation of investment appraisals for production related capital expenditure

• Management and monitoring of ongoing production related capital expenditure
