Junior Electronics/ Electrical Engineer – Great location – Fantastic opportunity! An exciting opportunity for an individual to join a company specialising in Industrial Ventilation and Air Pollution Control / monitoring systems. This is a challenging and rewarding junior Electronics position offering a unique opportunity to grow, learn and be an influential team member within a small expanding company. Applicants should have an Electrical / Electronic Engineering Qualification and relevant aptitude in the following: project specification and design, PLC programming, control panel build, fault finding / commissioning. This is a varied role, and one which will require you to draw upon your multi-disciplinary skills, flexible approach and impact upon the future development and success of the Company. Benefits include: •Flexible working hours available. •Opportunity to work with a friendly, innovative, multi skilled and resourceful team. •Rewarding challenges which improve the working conditions for the UK workforce and significantly reduce the carbon footprint for manufacturers. •An excellent training and development programme with regular salary reviews. •Pension scheme •Opportunity to work for an award-winning company •Standard hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Key responsibility areas: •Electrical Specification, design, control panel build, fault finding and system commissioning, to include: • Produce designs, specifications and proposals for Control panel design, Inverters/ Motor starters, PLC, HMI display •Produce wiring diagrams using AUTOCAD or VISIO or alternative drawing package. •Assist with programming of PLCs and microprocessors. •Assist with the successful running of the engineering projects from inception through to customer acceptance, ensuring tasks are carried out within timescales and to budget. •Programming experience including PLC’s, BASIC / C++ (script files) •Produce System Requirement Specifications (SRS) •Interpret engineering and plant (P&I) drawings. •Communicate effectively with Customers and suppliers to produce detailed specifications. •Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and new products relevant to the business sectors in which we operate and contribute to the strategic planning of the business; Identify and develop new market opportunities and R&D development projects. •Promote the products and services offered by R & B INDUSTRIAL to the customer, where appropriate. •Communicate in a pleasant and effective manner ensuring that a full understanding of customer needs and where applicable, supplier requirements are attained. •Further your own education/Training, relevant to the Company’s main activities, including attending seminars, lectures, exhibitions etc. as required. •Other tasks as required by job description. Skills required: •Qualified or experienced to degree Level, HNC/HND or NVQ 4, 5 or higher in engineering. •Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. •Good time management skills, ability to work to tight deadlines. •Very Good analytical/problem solving/ fault finding skills. •Highly computer literate. •Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and flexible approach.
