Due to company growth our client, a global R&D engineering company, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their ambitious and growing team, offering its employees outstanding involvement with product development used in demanding and advanced technology industries around the world.

This will involve:

Working within R&D, designing, developing and supporting software solutions for a variety of standard and bespoke products.

Creating high and low level software design using recognised methodologies.

Embedded development, graphical user interfaces and supporting tools.

Production of documentation including requirements, release of software and user manuals.

Prepare and implement suitable test strategies considering different classes of testing approaches.

Implementation of code against design.

Work with other discipline areas to provide a well-engineered and balanced solution.

You will need:

Excellent technical skills in all aspects of the software lifecycle, along with the energy to drive through the most demanding projects.

Hold a thorough understanding of each stage of software development.

Degree level or equivalent in software engineering.

Demonstrable experience of real-time embedded software design and implementation.

Demonstrable experience of multiple testing approaches including unit testing, integration and system level. Use of test tools and automated testing approaches advantageous.

Embedded C and C++ with experience of bare metal and RTOS development on ARM based processors. Additional experience of GUI development would be advantageous.

Excellent understanding of designing and deploying IoT based systems.

Experience of recognised development models such as V, Waterfall, Agile/Scrum.

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Good communication skills, with ability to discuss complex concepts to the project team and senior management plus ability to coach junior members.
