Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Marlow, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Thame
Salary: Up to £70k + 10% bonus potential and other benefits
Evolve Recruitment are currently looking for a Tax Manager for our client who is a large global organisation and a worldwide leader within its industry sector. You will be responsible for supporting the Tax Director of EMEA and the Global Tax Team in all matters related to corporate income in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
* The Tax Manager will be preparing the annual IFRS closing tax processes for the EMEA entities;
* Preparing regional tax accounting and forecasting for review by the EMEA Tax Director.
* The Tax Manager will be liaising with the EMEA SBU regional and local finance management regarding their tax accounting, transfer pricing documentation and local tax issues
* Supporting the Tax Director with SBU tax controversies/audits.
* Working with local European finance team on tax return compliance, including some review of local tax returns.
* Monitoring local tax changes and developments in relevant European countries, working with Tax Director on implications.
* Data collection for and drafting of transfer pricing documentation and SBU reporting within EMEA on an annual basis.
* Preparation of annual and semi-annual tax accounting model, including calculations for each SBU under IFRS, including appropriate disclosure in the financial statements, and preparation under local GAAP where required (including UK entities). This will include return to provision true up calculations.
* Ensure EMEA Tax Team is up to date with EMEA tax legislation at the country level.
* Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation including review of tax returns and assisting the Tax Director with other UK tax developments.
* Ensure all CbCR notification deadlines are met for EMEA entities.
* Prepare CbCR data for EMEA to submit to Hong Kong tax team to be consolidated into global numbers.
* Support the management and maintenance of local transfer pricing documentation by drafting documentation and liaising with local finance teams to obtain required information.
* Work with company EMEA finance, treasury and legal functions to provide tax input on regional financing activities.
Key Skills:
* The Tax Manager will need a minimum of 4 years working within an international tax environment.
* Degree educated or equivalent.
* Qualified accountant and ‘Big 4’ tax experience preferred
* Experience and training in either US or IFRS GAAP Accounting for Income Taxes
* Knowledge of European corporate income taxation as well as international tax and transfer pricing rules and regulations
* Time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
* Effective communication and problem solving skills are essential for the new Tax Manager
