Location - Corsham
Reporting to - Campus Manager
Desired Experience & or Qualifications
* City & Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 or equivilent (essential)
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (essential)
* AP15 HV Switching (essential)
* 17th Ed IEE Wiring Regulations
* Building Energy Management Systems
* Previous service & maintenance experience to HVAC plant & equipment
* Previous supervisory experience
* Provision of service to commercial premises
Typical Duties
* Working for one of the UK's leading Facilities Management and Engineering Service providers, we are seeking a Building Supervisor with previous supervisory experience to manage and monitor the work and performance of the engineering team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
* To manage and monitor the work and performance of the Engineering Team: ensuring that performance levels are maintained to deliver both excellent service to the client and also to meet the required contract KPIs based around practical operations performance.
* Undertake the required paperwork functions (PPM management, asset management, work scheduling and planning, health and safety etc.) whilst being able to use practical experience and skills to assist the Engineering Team from a practical standpoint.
* To ensure and control excellent housekeeping practices throughout the sites where the Engineering Team operate.
* Working within a critical services environment where power interruption and cooling are essential to the day to day site operations. Carrying out general planned and reactive maintenance to a wide range of HVAC plant & equipment including Power generation and UPS systems maintaining compliance with legislation and manufactures recommendations.
* Maintaining and keeping in good repair, the buildings mechanical & electrical systems along with all associated component parts of Data Centre Premises.
* Undertake regular walk-rounds of client areas and plant ooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain lant rooms in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
* To support and maintain the HV distribution network across the complex, HV/LV Transformers and 11KV Breakers which are vital to the buildings which run 24/7. Other duties will include monitoring the Permit to Work system advising managers on due process and monitor the systems to prevent any failure.
* Support the Technical Manager in the preparation of maintenance program and the associated plans for suppliers and contractors.
* Uphold the integrity of the company at all times
* Assist in the preparation of company reports, work sheets and support service level agreements and procedures as required
Data Centre Experience
The ideal candidate will have;
* Good knowledge and understanding of H&S practices and procedures.
* Good technical knowledge of building services systems and plant.
* Knowledge and understanding of Data Centres or experience of working within a critical services environment
* BMS, Chiller, CRAC Unit, Generator and UPS knowledge
* Knowledge of DC Electrical systems
* Ablility to organise and manage own workload
* Self-motivated with drive to exceptional service
* Risk averse
Annual Basic Salary £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) based on a 40 hr week Mon - Fri, 25 days Holidays, Pension, Mobile Phone
