NRL are currently recruiting on behalf of one of their clients for a HR Manager to be based in Whitehaven Cumbria. For the right candidate this is an opportunity to join a large company on a staff basis.

Objectives:

- o deliver an effective HR service to the business, providing commercial HR solutions.

- To proactively partner managers at all levels in providing pragmatic and commercially focussed solutions on people issues that will meet business objectives.

- To work closely with the HR Business Partner and other supporting services across the wider business to promote and embed Mitie’s people transformation agenda.

- To develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders in the business

- To develop and maintain relationships with Unions, and co-ordinate industrial relation activities

Main Duties:

- Support management in the undertaking of discplianry & capability cases, long term welafare cases requiring a HR face to face presence.

- Liaise with the centralised ER Team, as required providing on-site HR support for more complex ER cases.

- Attending the contract management meetings as appropriate and ensuring the HR agenda is represented fully in relation to business decisions at contract/site level.

- Promote and embed performance management culture across the business, including adherence to the performance management system and ensuring managers are competent in managing people.

- Maintain management/supervisor capability through the regular delivery of HR related training on topics such as Absence Management, Performance Management, Discplinary, Grievance and Investigations etc

- As appropriate, work with HR Business Partner on People Transformation and adhoc HR related projects.

- Support the management team with any adhoc projects including change management

- Help compile monthly HR reports as required for the region/business area, reporting on various HR related metrics.

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Trade Unions at a regional level; support local and/or national pay negotiations including recognition agreements.
