Assistant Bodyshop Manager

Salary: Competitive DOE

Our client is a long-established company of accident repairs. Due to continued growth, our client is currently looking for an Assistant Bodyshop Manager to join the team in Carlisle. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will involve the day to day running of the existing body shop which includes the workshop, parts department and the administration. Also, Liaising with insurers, customers and the rest of the team.

The Role:

The day to day management of the workshop focussing on workshop efficiency to improve profitability of the workshop.
To ensure estimating and forecasting and delivery is achieved through the workshop.
Ensure that continuously review and improve workshop layout ensuring best practice and health and safety standards are met.
To ensure customer expectation is exceeded and that any customer complaints are dealt with in a timely and professional manner to support repeat business and maintain and improve sales volumes.
Focus on improving customer experience.
To liaise with insurers and car manufacturers and their approval processes to carry out repairs.
To maintain excellent working relationship and regularly communicate with the General Manager.
To consistently manage the staff at Hinds in line with company policies and procedures.
To actively support staff development and ensure that staff are suitably qualified and experienced to carry out their individual job specifications.
To deal with any grievance or disciplinary action in a timely manner.
To deal with any recruitment
To maintain manufacturer’s approvals to carry out repairs and support BSI certification.
To utilise scheduling and estimating (Audatex)
To utilise information available to manage the workshop to improve job margin growth.
To work with the General Manager to support the annual budget process and review along with the General Manager the monthly performance against budget of the workshop.
To work with the General Manager to ensure compliance to legislation and improve and challenge health and safety performance of individuals.
To ensure that the general public are at all times, kept safe and are aware of health and safety aspects as they use the site.
