We have an opportunity for a Locum Pharmacist to join our team in Crumlin on a part time basis working 2-4 days a week. You will need to be a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and ROI and have previously worked within a pharmacy environment carrying out prescription checking. BF Mulholland Ltd is based on the outskirts of Glenavy, Crumlin within easy reach of Belfast and centrally located to provide Equipment Sales and Engineering support to the Dental Profession and Health Care Trusts throughout Northern Ireland and the Border Counties. In return we offer; - Highly competitive base salary plus benefits linked to skills and experiences - Pension - Family friendly policies - Career Development in a growing business Key Responsibilities of our Locum Pharmacist: - Undertake activities that support the business strategic objectives - Provide a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service within the accepted legal and professional requirements - Ensure full staff compliance with company SOPs - Ensure that all dispensing errors and near misses are logged in accordance with company - Identify new opportunities to grow the business and share best practices with other departments - Monitor and control operating expenses in order to maximize the profitability of the pharmacy - Monitor local competitor activity - Support the Pharmacy rota management system including locum pharmacist bookings to cover holidays - Attend relevant meetings - Provide advice, support and leadership for MHRA/HPRA and Home Office compliance - Ensuring that a quality management system is implemented and maintained - Coordinating and promptly performing any recall operations for medicinal products - Ensuring that relevant customer complaints are dealt with effectively - Ensuring that suppliers and customers are approved - Ensuring that self-inspections are performed at appropriate regular intervals following a prearranged programme and necessary corrective measures are put in place What we’re looking for in our Locum Pharmacist: Skills - Ability to evaluate, research, document and communicate legislation and procedures - Ability to respond to different legal, company, regulatory and operational situations and provide solutions - Work well within a team and lead a team effectively - Work within a company effectively to achieve best possible outcomes - Attention to detail and have high accuracy for checking prescriptions - Quick learner to understand new in house I.T. systems - Excellent communication skills to effectively and efficiently deal with customer orders, stock issues and product queries which may arise Experience - Knowledge of using pharmacy operating system - Worked within a pharmacy environment carrying out prescription checking - Worked within a pharmacy team and communicated with other departments (e.g. sales, purchasing, stock) Qualifications - Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and ROI.
