The Secure Innovation Business Area of the Space, Defence and Intelligence BU is seeking a new Project / Service Delivery Manager to take charge of a number of small projects and services in our Gloucester office.

Your future duties and responsibilities
An SI&A Project and Service Delivery Manager is responsible for delivery of leading-edge secure government projects and services. Projects encompass bespoke developments, COTS applications, and research into new technologies and capabilities; services include the management of both operational and test systems in the client estate.

You will be responsible for the full delivery life-cycle, taking projects from inception through to closure, and both establishing new services and maintaining the delivery of long standing existing ones. The role will include direct client contact and requires a proven ability to work closely with client staff to build effective working relationships.

The role would suit either an existing software / application project managers or someone looking to progress their career from a technical team lead role to a more formal management role. An appropriate level of guidance, support and training will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will be based in the Gloucester office but required to travel to multiple sites, both CGI and client, for occasional meetings. There is no scope for remote working.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience and ability in the following skills: -

• A strong technical IT background

• Estimating and planning

• Progress monitoring and reporting

• Team leading

• Client engagement

The following attributes, whilst not essential are desirable: -

• Experience of different commercial delivery frameworks, e.g., fixed price, time & materials, billing entitlement

• Experience of project finances and reporting

• Working with 3rd party, sub-contract and customer teams

• Experience of Agile delivery methodologies

Candidates must be UK nationals, already hold a UK Security Clearance, and if not held already be willing and eligible to achieve high-level clearance.
