At Quarry Manufacturing & Supplies we have an exciting opportunity for a Stores & Warehouse Manager to join our team based in Coalville. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £22,500 -£26,000 per annum depending upon experience. Quarry Manufacturing is an established, successful family owned business based at Bardon Hill in Leicestershire. We are European leaders in OEM manufacturing of crushers and crushing plant, suppliers of spare and wear parts for the worldwide quarrying industry, and maintenance experts for crushing plant throughout the UK. The Stores & Warehouse Manager Role It is the responsibility of the Stores & Warehouse Manager to manage people, processes and systems, in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched to meet customer needs in excellent condition. Ensure productivity targets are met by building the capability of the team and develop individuals within the team in line with business needs. The stores & warehouse manager is responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse, work place safety, the security of the building and stock. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm Operational Responsibilities of our Stores & Warehouse Manager include: - Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order, processing, packing and dispatch of goods. - Keeping stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate by reconciling with database system (Sage 200). - Briefing team leaders on a daily basis. - Maintaining safe working practices and ensuring strict compliance with health & safety policy (see H&S policy) including the correct storage of hazardous materials. - Ensuring the correct practices and procedures are followed to allow continued compliance with ISO9001:2015 and to complete any KPI’s/reports as necessary. - Representing the warehouse team at management level and where appropriate the production of weekly and monthly operation reports. - Taking necessary corrective actions to resolve any conflicts with processes, functions or operatives. - Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment. - Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse through effective housekeeping and equipment inspection. As our Stores & Warehouse Manager you’ll need to supervise the warehouse team through: - Ensuring the work is communicated to the team and delivered to specification. - Contributing to management discussions on the resources (people/material/equipment/time) required to enable the warehouse team to deliver on-time, to budget and to the appropriate quality standard in line with customer/business requirements. - Motivating the team and its members to consistently deliver its goals and to identify and improve core processes. - Proactively driving a culture that ensures continuous improvement. - Ensuring effective key communication is undertaken which clearly highlights business issues and matters within the team and to other departments (quality/fabrication/sales/service/machine shop). - Promoting and executing within the team an ethos of safe working in line with the Health, Safety, Environmental policies.
