Maintenance Engineer
Duties
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance of equipment in accordance with relevant Regulations.
• Responding to breakdowns of equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and providing costed repair quotes to the Production Manager.
• Repairing equipment in accordance with manufactures specifications, company maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Supervising & monitor Production staff to out equipment before use and in use maintenance activities.
• Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings in order to maintain and repair equipment.
• Maintaining equipment maintenance records in accordance with HSE guidelines and best practise.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Creating maintenance procedures for existing and new equipment.
• Managing stocks of supplies and equipment.
• Electrical installation maintenance & repair to the latest electrical edition requirements- 18th Edition
• Responsible for matters that arise from H&S meetings and Production improvement meetings.
• Maintaining racking and lifting equipment in accordance with PUWER Regulations and best practise.
• Maintain a register of all electrical equipment and carry out periodic PAT testing to a pre-determined planned rota based on risk assessing the equipment in use and in accordance with HSE guidance.
• Ensures that all maintenance activities comply with all Health & Safety, Fire & Environment policy.
• Ensures that all maintenance activities comply with all Risk, COSHH and Manual Handling Assessments at all times.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities risk assessed and those assessment are adhered to at all times.
• Ensures compliance with company 5S/Lean procedures at all times during the maintenance activities.
• Completing daily time sheets.

Minimum of 5 years working in an equipment maintenance role
Qualifications
• Minimum L3 Qualification in Equipment Maintenance ( Electrical / Mechanical)
• 18th Edition City & Guilds 2382-18.
• City & Guilds Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing (2377-22)
• City & Guilds 2391/2392 Verification/Testing of installations or equivalent
