As one of our Project Managers you will be responsible for overseeing the timely execution and completion of both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project. You will have full ownership, responsibility and accountability for the project.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

-Reporting to the Managing Director/Contracts Manager/Project Director on a regular basis on the progress and performance of the project

-Ensuring the management of the project in accordance with the Company Management System (CMS) such that SRM's policies and legislation in terms of quality, environmental and safety are complied with

-Managing the project such that the SRM's objectives in terms of cost and programme are met

-Delegating responsibility to the key personnel as noted on the project organisation chart

-Defining the responsibilities matrix, as outlined in the CMS and as shown on the project organisation chart.

-Producing and maintaining the contract programme

-Producing and maintaining the procurement schedule

-Constructing the work to the specified quality, safely and without risk to the environment in accordance with the contract programme

-Preparing contact progress reports as and when required by the client

-Controlling the design and construction input into the project

-Acting as the primary point of contact for the Client except on a larger scale project where the Project Director will be responsible for this.

-Chair regular progress meeting and workshops

-Report progress to the Project Director/Client on a monthly basis or such other period as defined in the contract

-Where relevant, work with the Project Director to deliver part of the overall project/development in all the areas highlighted above

Candidates should ideally have a Degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field along with;

-Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card

-Proven working experience in managing construction activities

-Must have a technical, engineering background

-Good knowledge of construction processes, means and methods

-Good knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

-Knowledge and understanding of forms of contract, (e.g NEC3, JCT D&B)

-Experience of ProCure22 (P22) Framework would be an advantage

-Familiarity with construction software packages

-Ability to plan and see the bigger picture

-Leadership and people management skills
