My client is a food manufacturer based in Chorley, Lancashire with over 700 PC users across two sites and are currently looking for an IT Trainer with CRM/IMS software knowledge.

The role

You will be working in conjunction with the training team the objective of the role is to train the PC users within the company of the various software packages to increase the knowledge base of the workforce by utilising all software systems to increase efficiency.

The candidate will be heavily involved with the full research of each software product to identify all the key benefits to the users and the management of data with particular extra responsibilities for assessing and advising on the choice of a CRM solution. And in conjunction with the “champion users” design and document the Standard Operating Systems (SOP) for roll out to all potential benefitting users. Through to designing the material and manual and delivery of the training to the users.

Duties & Accountability

Identify all Software packages available

Identify the champion users and begin education process and buy-in from users

Obtain a clear understanding and direction from the management team on the training needs and priorities.

Design and/or source Training manuals for each software product and align key benefits of product to the business and users

Collate information and Design Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Plan a roll out schedule of training in conjunction with Management, Champion Users, and Training teams

Plan Induction training programme

Deliver the training

Technical Skills Required

A training background of IT Software packages

Expertise in CRM and IMS software systems

Experienced in documenting training manuals and programmes

Delivering training in various environments to various levels of users

Designing and documenting SOP

The software packages include the following:

* Customer Relations Management (CRM)

* Integrated Management Systems (IMS)

* Microsoft Documents

* Email Systems (Groupwise)

* Internal Document management Systems (DMS)

Personal Attributes and experience

Empathy, able to understand the users challenges

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable experience of working with users.

Superior attention to detail with an understanding of SOP standards.

Strong planning and organisation with a “can do” attitude, both individually and as part of a team.

Excellent questioning skills, with ability to establish the management and users requirements.

An “always learning” habit, with a hunger to understand and learn new training solutions
