Corporate Accountant - Lowestoft - Permanent - £neg

Select Appointments are working in partnership with this leading local manufacturer in Lowestoft who are looking for a qualified Accountant to join their expanding team within their UK operations. This is a brand new and exciting opportunity and will report directly to the on site General Manager, strengthening the Financial/Accounts side within the business and providing timely and accurate information to the Director.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Management of Accounts Payable and Receivable Turnover

Completion of monthly Payroll and preparation for taxation and superannuation payments

Invoice authorisation, supplier terms authorisation

Preparation of Payment runs for sign off

Financial Accounting to include month end, year end. Monitoring and reporting.

Monthly reconciliations of Creditors and Debtors and management of Credit Control

Management Accounting and Analysis to include budget preparation, profitability analysis, pricing support and annual stocktakes, controlling of overhead costs

Quality costing analysis and assisting with improvement strategies

Other duties will include; Cash flow management, forecasting, reporting, accurate processing of VAT/EEC, etc. Exchange rate monitoring, overseeing audits

Monitoring exchange rates

Budget preparation

Profitability analysis

Implementation and maintenance of ERP system

The Corporate Accountant will need to have the following experience/skills:

Recent relevant experience as an Company/Management Accountant, Financial Controller, Finance Manager

ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified

Working knowledge of Sage or similar ERP software

Advanced Excel Skills

Multi Cost Centre financial reporting would be advantageous

Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to non accounting staff

Excellent attention to detail

Effective time management skills and ability to work in fast paced environment
