The Original Tour, London’s premier sightseeing tour company has a vacancy for a Finance Assistant to work in our Finance Department at our head office in Wandsworth, London SW18.

With a large fleet of open top double decker buses, the Original Tour entertains hundreds of thousands of visitors annually with innovative tours & services to make the most of their visit in London.

Finance Assistant

In this important role you will be responsible for the accounts payable function.
Duties will include:
• Ensure that all supplier invoices received are collated and coded on a daily basis to be loaded onto the purchase ledger system as well as matched to purchase orders
• Process the invoices accurately with meaningful descriptions in a timely manner
• Distribute invoices to relevant members of staff for authorisation and liaise with those individuals to ensure that payment deadlines are met
• Ensure supplier statements are received on a monthly basis and reconciled to the system reporting
• Provide reports to the Accounts Supervisor to facilitate invoice validation on the system
• Prepare and submit files for supplier BACS payments
• Ensure that Direct Debits are up to date, each with a corresponding invoice processed in the system
• Prepare and distribute manual cheques where necessary
• Maintain filing and perform ad hoc duties as required.
General:
• Maintain effective relationships with other departments to ensure that they are aware of relevant financial deadlines where appropriate
• Work closely with the Accounts Supervisor and other members of the Finance team as required
• Look to improve current processes where possible.

Skills and Experience Necessary:
• Purchase ledger experience desirable
• Confidence in actively liaising with suppliers by both telephone and email in order to investigate queries that arise
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team in order to meet tight deadlines
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong communicator

Hours/ Days of Work:
The normal hours of work would be from 09.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday
Job Type: Part-time (3 days)

Salary: £14,700 per annum
