This is a full time, permanent position.

Our client, who has over 15 years of experience within the industry, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant team based at their Head Office in Marlow. The individual will have a strong passion for finance as this role will be to support the finance team in different task areas, as listed below, but may vary from time to time. This role will provide key support from within the finance function for Purchase Ledger, cash reporting, accounting and assisting with month end.

Duties of the role will include:

* Daily cash book reconciliation on Sage

* Cover for cash flow

* Monthly EC sales returns/Instrastat

* Cover for VAT quarterly reporting

* Cover for stock, non-stock, expenses and courier suppliers

* Cover for supplier statement reconciliations

* Producing BACS and ad-hoc payments

* Re-charging intercompany

* Checking and releasing customer orders

* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations : pre-payments/fixed assets/GRNI and price variance/bank

* Supporting month/year end processes

* Training of new staff in stock/non-stock/cash book tasks

* Actively seeking to improve process and procedures

* Assisting with other reconciliations and reporting as and when required

* Supporting the finance team on all financial matters as and when requested

Special Requirements:

* High level of IT experience – Sage Line-500 and Excel

* Previous experience of working within a similar role and industry ideal

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Ability to deliver results in a timely fashion

* Self-motivated, a self-starter, proactive and personally driven

* Willingness to work the extra hour during month end

* Excellent team player

* Smart and professional in appearance

* Good sense of humour

* Good communication skills, personable and able to work with external parties

* Highly organised coupled with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
