Protocol Education work with Local Education Authorities, and Child Services over the West Midlands and they need a confident Teacher, Tutor, or HLTA with good initiative.

You will be working as a Learning Support Mentor (Intervention Teacher), creating and delivering tailored education packages to disengaged pupils, based on the pupils individual interests, personality and potentially, SEND traits.

The aim is to 'narrow the gap' between the achievements of Looked after Children and their peers. The support will be not only be on a one-to-one basis but also in small groups across Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. The support will be carried out within the pupils care / foster homes, within the classroom or within a sourced and risk assessed venue. Applicants will be responsible for liaising with the Designated Teacher to plan and deliver a personalised tuition programme for Maths, English or Science. Successful applicants will have their own transport and the flexibility to work mornings, afternoons or evenings
