This lovely Montessori nursery in Frimley provides Montessori based full day care for children from 3 months to 5 years. They are located in a historic listed property refurbished and transformed into a well equipped homely setting, with an extensive enclosed garden.

They have a friendly, easy going working environment ensuring security, well-being and a nurturing home from home for our children.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced deputy manager keen to take their strong skills gained over multiple years to the next level by working with the owners and the team to become the manager.

Essential Requirements

* Great organisational skills with minimal need for close supervision, can-do attitude, positive energy, and real passion for helping children get the best possible start in their education.

* Knowledge of Ofsted standards, with experience working in settings to achieve higher ratings.

* Numerate with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Strong people skills, self confident and able to lead and motivate.

* Flexible and receptive to change

* Effective time, people and resource management skills

* Reliable, mature and able to inspire confidence.

Key responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver quality education and ongoing improvement of standards.

* Supervise and manage the team, motivate them with a shared sense of direction and pride.

* Implement the highest standard of safety, security and child protection, ensuring procedures are applied properly by all staff.

* Manage overall staffing taking into account planning, holidays, absences etc.

* Identify staff training and development needs, working with the Principal to meet these.

* Develop and execute a proactive marketing plan to maximise occupancy.

* Maintain strong parent/ carer relationships, with positive ongoing engagement, resolving any issues that arise.

* Maintain a positive relationship with Ofsted, and continually drive up our Ofsted rating.

* Attend and contribute to regular operational and strategy meetings with the management team.

* Step in and deliver excellent operational practice when required, providing a good example to the team, as well as contributing to ratio where needed.
