Our client in the Burnley region has an immediate vacancy for an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cells, Presses & other general Production Equipment on site. The role ensures that equipment runs efficiently and effectively during the production shifts.
The role supports the production and projects departments, ensuring that they are capable of delivering OEE and KPI’s. The role ensures that equipment runs efficiently and effectively during production shifts.
Duties include:
* Day to day upkeep of Production Equipment
* Reacting to breakdowns quickly in order to reduce downtime
* Any other duties of a similar nature or at a similar level of responsibility
* Understand equipment faults and how to resolve them
* Programme via PLC
* Planned preventative maintenance tasks
* Read drawings electrical mechanical, Hydraulic and pneumatic
* Build machines with often limited technical information and drawings.
* Source parts to comply with the build.
* Respond to equipment breakdowns
* Problem solving
* Implementing Quality countermeasures
* Involvement in problem solving activities, Cause & Effect, ‘5 WHY’, countermeasure implementation and validation
* Ensuring PPM’s are completed to plan
* 5S within the department
Experience Required
* Minimum Electrical and Electronic/Mechanical Engineering NVQ Level 4 (HNC) or the equivalent City and Guilds qualification
* PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Fault finding experience
* PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Programming experience
* Pneumatics
* Hyydraulics
* Mechanical engineering skills including full strip downs and re-builds
* Knowledge of AC drive systems and inverters
* Good all-round workshop skills including welding and fabrication.
This is a permanent role where you will be expected to work the following shift pattern:
Week 1
23.30pm to 7.30am Monday to Thursday & 16.30pm to 24.00pm Friday
