My client, a successful environmental consultancy is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their team in based Northamptonshire.

You will join an experienced Geosciences team, participating in a variety of projects including commercial, residential housing and infrastructure developments with clients such as local authorities, power suppliers, oil companies and housing developers.

As a Geoenvironmental Engineer you will be responsible for the supervision of Ground Investigations, you will also liaise with clients and subcontracts, and you will manage Health & Safety aspects on site.

Within this role, you will also be required to:

* Work both within the office environment and attend sites

* Assist the design and management of Geotechnical Ground Investigations

* Undertake verification works on site

* Carry out logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with current standards

* Provide technical support on various projects to junior staff, internal team and clients

* Complete Geo-Environmental Assessments

* Prepare Preliminary Risk Assessments, including Phase 1 Desk Studies

* Write technical notes and reports

* Create technical drawings

* Assist with the preparation of proposals and tenders

To be considered for this role, candidates are required to have a strong degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Geology, Geotechnics or similar. A Masters in a relevant discipline would be advantageous but is not essential.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience within the industry, specifically within Ground Investigations, undertaking fieldwork and have the ability to write geotechnical and contamination reports.

Additional criteria:

* A good working understanding of engineering geology and contaminated land works

* Experience of Site Investigations

* Able to write technical reports to a high standard

* Ability to prepare Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Preliminary Risk Assessments, Factual and Interpretative Assessments

* Experience of managing site works within a set budget

* Good communication skills, both written and verbal

* Working well within a team and as an individual

* UK drivers licence

* Able to attend other offices and sites across the UK, when necessary

* Right to work in the UK
