As Software Engineer in this leading business, you will be working closely with customers to analyze and resolve incidents and software bugs as well as ensuring that any changes to software meet the standards of the business.

You will sit between the support and development teams to provide critical support for both the legacy and new software systems.

Responsibilities:

* You will be responsible for debugging and basic code amendments

* Supporting end-users and department colleagues in a professional, friendly and helpful manner

* Striving to meet Business Requirements using appropriate technology in an efficient and timely manner

* Keep abreast of technologies and support Applications Development Team Leader in the delivery of innovative, quality solutions, delivering real value to the business

* Working with colleagues in the IT Team to improve and maintain levels of efficiency

* Ensure that all relevant information is recorded accurately and submitted on time

* Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support across an established and multi-site user base

* Manage preventative maintenance solutions, such as IT infrastructure monitoring and replacement programs

* Server Support, Desktop Support, Operating system support and technical troubleshooting

* Monitor industry trends and report on their relevance to the business

* Ensure business continuity services are fit for purpose

* Ensure the IT infrastructure is secure and manage measures to ensure its resilience

* Manage policies and procedures relevant to IT infrastructure best practices

Must have Experience:

* You will ideally have experience of breaking down an incident into technology and service components to methodically plan, and deliver back, restored service

* Ability to work co-operatively and productively with customers, other teams, functions and suppliers earning their respect and confidence

* Experience in working in Agile methodology

* Experience of object-orientated programming using java, React Java Script

* Experience of maintaining Oracle databases with spatial data

* Experience of Big data HSQL, HIVE, Impala

* Experience in working for algorithm & CAD diagram conversion logic

* Experience of WebLogic, Linux, Apache Network engineer, ESRI.

* Experience of Telecom Domain Inventory management and Planning system

* Experience of FTTP Planning

* Experience in working in Geo spatial system

* Experience in ESRI, shape files,

* Experience in MQ, XFB, RSYNC.

* Willing to provide the support during extended out of office hours/weekends

* Experience and knowledge of the industry standard process for release management, Backup and recovery
